Girls and vid games

Stop me if you have heard this before. You are at a party, the girls are in another room talking about things that take little brainpower, and a smidgeon of insanity to actually have interest in. You get bored of said conversation, and go see what the boys are doing. You walk to the other room, and find the guys rocking out the latest and greatest, or a golden oldie vid game. And like any sensible sugar gamer, you want in on the action. They give you a look dripping with sarcasm, and disbelief, and ask if you can handle it. In this particular situation, you have one of two options. Laugh it off and say you don't know, but would like to try anyway(allowing them to continue living in the delusion of their macho-ness). OR you let your competitive streak rise, and challenge every man in the room to a cyber duel. Sound familiar? Or maybe it's just me who finds herself in these situations. Either way, be you majorly competitive, or the quiet type that just enjoys the gaming experiance, As sugar gamers we have all felt at one time the sting of male chauvanism. Guys who think that just because they were allowed to gow up playing with action figures vs barbie dolls, gives them the right to be the sole players of video games. I am not feminist. I dream of a world where men and women play together in harmony. But their are still the buttheads out their who think anything in a skirt can't play as good as they do. This is why this website exists. To encourage girls, that there are sugar gamers all over the world. And also provide us a chance to share stories of male beat downs. Anyone got any? If so, leave a comment, because those are the stories I know I enjoy! lol :)

  2. WEll now...I seem to remember this happening maybe more than one occasion to the chagrin of several young men...I can reiterate a story would probably remember involving some Street Fighter...I always gave the boys a run for their money.
